AnnaLisa Morigone MA, LPCC
Hello! I’m AnnaLisa Morgione, MA, Mental Health Counseling, LPCC. I am a mindfulness-based therapist who uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitation Reprocessing (EMDR) to compassionately attend to pain, trauma, and grieving. I currently work with individuals, couples, and families ages 13 and up. My demeanor tends to be warm, gentle and connecting. My approach is honest, respectful and without judgement of you and the issues that are bringing you to therapy. I believe that humans possess the innate strength, courage, and potential to grow and change from even the most difficult life experiences and I look forward to walking alongside you in your journey of self-care and improvement.
As a CBT and EMDR therapist who has a strong interest in Attachment Theory, Somatic Therapy, Neuropsychology in Counseling, Humanistic Psychology, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), I help people with identifying and changing unhealthy emotional, mental, and behavioral patterns that no longer serve them. Two phrases resonate with me: “be patient and tough; this pain will be useful to you someday” and “your wound is probably not your fault, but your healing is your responsibility”. Welcome and well done on taking this step toward a happier and healthier you.
I offer skills coaching to help you understand and cope with depression, anxiety, trauma, social anxiety, and negative thought and behavior patterns. You can learn how cope with distressful situations, how to regulate your emotions, heal relationship issues, improve your communication skills, and set healthy boundaries with people in your life. Together, we work to heal what is keeping you stuck or preventing you from acquiring the life you want. I appreciate and welcome people of diverse cultures, socio-economic statuses, ethnicities, identities, and gender orientations.
